America

America, Israel's friend...

America, as everyone knows, has supported Israel from the beginning...

has always given whatever political, economic or military help Israel has needed...

and has recognised and defended Israel's basic rights to live in security and peace

in their own land...

It would be wonderful if things were so, but sadly such faithful American support

for Israel does not exist in reality... and never has.

It is only in the strange and truth-free regions of political speeches and electioneering

that Israel enjoys such support from American administrations... and in the imaginations of

foolish and naive Jews, American anti-semites who hate the 'pro-Israel lobby' and among the many enemies of Israel.

IF America had indeed given the level of support it has claimed to give, Israel would be much safer today,

would not have been forced to make suicidal 'concessions' to its enemies and would not be approaching

another, much more devastating war in the very near future.

Those who are so certain and confident that America really is a friend of Israel need to consider what history

has to say on this matter.

From the very beginning, even before the beginning, American administrations policies towards Israel

and the Jewish people have been marked by opposition and hostility, rather than friendship.

During the Holocaust, Jewish refugees trying to escape Hitler's genocide were refused entry to America

and forced to return to Europe... On one German passenger ship, some Jewish refugees committed suicide,

rather than return there and be murdered by the Nazis, after they were refused permission to enter America.

The only excuse those guilty of sending these people to their deaths give is that leftist, liberal Jewish groups in America advised

against opening the door to save Europe's Jews... so it must have been OK...

America, of course, warmly supported and encouraged the Jews to declare an independent State of Israel...

Well, no... The opposite is true. The Israeli declaration of independence was something America opposed,

advised against, and did their best to prevent. America only recognised the new State of Israel because it existed already,

and had votes in the United Nations recognising that, including a yes vote from the Soviet Union.

America helped Israel to win the War of Independence...

Well, no... There was no significant help from America.

In what was a real miracle, Israel defeated the Arab armies using weapons bought and smuggled from Europe.

Humanly speaking, Israel should never have won that war...

One of the ironies is that the Israeli Air Force used recycled Messerschmitt planes from Hitler's Luftwaffe

to defend Israel against Arab armies equipped with British weapons.

Left to America, the newly reborn State of Israel would have been wiped out by the Arabs in 1948.

Instead of supporting Israel, American administrations were more interested in helping Israel's enemies.

In 1956, Israel pushed the Egyptian Army from Sinai to the Suez Canal, while British and French forces

occupied the Canal. This opened the previously blockaded sea route to the southern Israeli port of Eilat,

while the Europeans regained control of the Suez Canal (which they built).

But America intervened... Demanding the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of European forces from the Suez Canal

and that Israel should hand back Sinai to its committed enemy, Egypt.

Given America's superpower status, Britain and France complied, and withdrew.

Israel also obeyed the American demand, but with the promise that if ever the Egyptians used the Sinai

to blockade Eilat again, America would help Israel remove the blockade.

Promises, promises...

Only 11 short years later, Egypt re-imposed the Sinai blockade of Eilat...

And when Israel turned to America to act on the 1956 promise... nothing could be done to help.

Unfortunately, no record could be found of America's 1956 promise of help...

Therefore, America would do nothing to help.

Probably the relevant document was lost or accidentally ended up in a shredder or

down the back of a filing cabinet somewhere in Foggy Bottom.

Even without the missing document, was there anything to prevent America from helping Israel

overcome this latest act of Arab aggression?

Left to America, the 1967 blockade would have gone on forever.

Faced with the Eilat blockade and large, heavily armed Arab military forces building up on the borders,

Israel had no choice but to go to war again, to remove the Arab threat.

In what can only be described as another miracle, Israel won the Six Day War of 1967.

Syria was pushed back across the Golan, Egypt was forced out of Sinai, and Israel liberated the parts of Jerusalem

and Judea and Samaria previously occupied by Jordan.

This time, America DID play a part in the war...

The question is... on which side?

The USS Liberty mystery.

The official story is that this American navy ship was mistakenly bombed by the Israeli Air Force

after being misidentified as an Egyptian ship.  As with many 'official versions' this is just nonsense.

The USS Liberty was no ordinary ship. It was the most advanced spy ship of its kind at that time, designed to collect electronic

intelligence... intercepting military radio communications. During the 1967 war, the USS Liberty was in the war zone...

What was it doing there? Maybe it was just on a pleasure cruise? What was its mission?

The USS Liberty was collecting intelligence on military movements in Sinai.

This sensitive information was being passed on... obviously NOT to Israel, because they would not have ordered

a ship which was helping them to leave the area... and would not then have bombed it when it refused to go.

It appears the USS Liberty intercepted Israeli military radio traffic... passed the raw data on to the British

(who have a large military base on Cyprus dedicated to this) who in turn passed on the translated and analysed information...

to Egypt.

This, if true, was an act of war by America against an allied state.

This explains why Israel was forced to bomb the USS Liberty.

It was a simple and fully justified act of self-defense.

The information passed on by the Liberty was costing Israeli soldiers their lives as they battled in Sinai.

Having the Egyptian Army receive detailed information about the disposition of Israeli forces and their

movements was something Israel could not afford to allow.

That is why, even though the Liberty was an American ship, the decision was taken to disable it.

Note that the Israeli Air Force could have easily sunk the Liberty, but did not.

Just enough damage was done to disable the ship and end it's mission.

It is, of course tragic that Americans on board the USS Liberty were killed and injured.

But Israel bears ZERO responsibility for that.

Those who are to blame are the traitors who ordered the USS Liberty to commit an act of war

against Israel, by spying on Israel during wartime, and passing that information to the enemy.

Of course, after the incident, both America and Israel happily accepted the ridiculous 'official version' of events.

America had got caught betraying Israel... and did not want the world to know.

Israel did not want to upset the American public by admitting deliberately bombing a US ship.

The official version, of Israeli misidentification of the USS Liberty is nonsense.

The Liberty was clearly American, with American flags... the bombing happened in daylight.

Israeli planes made several passes over the ship, before finally attacking.

No, both sides knew full well what the situation was.

Maybe those who sent the Liberty on this mission thought that Israel would never fire on an American ship,

even an American ship engaged in spying for Egypt?  They guessed wrong.

Left to America, Israel might have lost the 1967 war...

Onward to 1973, and the Yom Kippur War.

America almost helped Israel lose this one too...

As Arab forces built up along the Suez Canal and behind the Golan, American spy satellites gave photos

of the coming invasion. Of course, none of this was passed on from America to Israel until the very last minute.

Oh, and America warned Israel NOT to make a pre-emptive strike, but to let the Arabs attack first.

IF America had given Israel timely warning, the war would have been much shorter...

IF America had allowed Israel to carry out the pre-emptive strike many Israeli deaths would have been avoided.

Instead, Israel obeyed the American demand and allowed the Arabs a free run, to hit the first blow.

As a result, Israel almost lost the October 1973 war.

Egypt crossed the Suez Canal, and advanced across the Sinai.

Syria crossed the Golan and headed for Galilee.

For the first week of the war, as the Soviets shipped huge amounts of weapons to their Arab friends,

Israeli appeals to Washington for weapons, spare parts and ammunition were ignored.

Suddenly, President Nixon decided that he must act to help save Israel.

At last! Action by an American administration to help Israel!

Well, no... not quite.

Why did Nixon suddenly have a change of heart and rush to help Israel?

By no coincidence, after the first week of the war, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir

and Defense Minister Moshe Dayan were seriously worried that Israel was losing the war.

And they were starting to consider the Samson Option... that in the event of Israel being defeated by its

Arab enemies, Israel would use its nuclear weapons to destroy the Arab states (and to turn the Arab oilfields

into radioactive wastelands). The message seems to have got through to Nixon.

It was the threat of losing the oilfields that most likely spurred him to help Israel.

The rest is history... America sent the needed military supplies, Israel defeated the Arabs and stepped back from

the Samson Option...

Once again, Israel's survival and victory in the 1973 war was a miracle.

Left to America, Israel would have lost that war too.

Ironic that it was the threat of losing Arab oilfields which forced an American president to help save Israel from

the Arabs.     Someone has a sense of humor... and He laughs at the nations and their plans...

So, dear reader, have you noticed a pattern developing?

American administrations are not friends of Israel... they only act in what they think is their best interest,

which is often the same as the interests of their oil-rich Arab friends...

As the joke goes, the US State Department always does the right thing...

After it has exhausted all other possibilities.

Next... coming soon... America and the 'Peace Process'...

How America has betrayed Israel from the 1991 Madrid Conference, through Oslo, the Roadmap,

Disengagement, and Annapolis... and President Obama...
